The municipality of Port-Daniel–Gascons proudly announces that it now has its very own virtual pages of history. We invite you to browse through them and discover this remarkable area, which has indeed greatly improved since the merging of its two century-old towns, Port-Daniel and Ste-Germaine de l’Anse-aux-Gascons. Its oceans, forests, mountains, valleys, stories and legends are treasures for all to explore, as they make up - according to Radio-Canada Matane’s listeners - one of the Gaspé Coast’s seven wonders.
The area history has been intimately associated with the building of the railway. You are therefore invited aboard on a journey through this land of culture, tourism, trade, community and recreation: From Jacques Cartier to Gabrielle Roy and Marc Aurèle Fortin… From the Colborne shipwreck to the Maison LeGrand with its century-old train station and dramatic railroad tunnel… Through the quaint fishing harbours… Port-Daniel–Gascons is yours to visit and discover!

Les personnes intéressées à travailler sur le projet FADT doivent donner leurs noms le plus tôt possible au CLE de Chandler. Le projet devrait débuter dans les premières semaines d'août.
Le symposium d'artistes professionnels du Week-End des Arts se tiendra du 16 au 19 septembre prochain à la maison Brunet de Port-Daniel. 15 artistes professinnels de tous les coins du Québec se rassemblent pour immortaliser sur leurs toiles nos attraits et nos paysages. Entrée gratuite.
Le Festival de la Pêche de Gascons se tiendra cette année du 16 au 18 juillet 2010 sur le quai du ruisseau Chapados.
Pour la période estivale (du 01 mai au 30 octobre) les heures d'ouverture de la déchetterie sont les mardis, les jeudis et les samedis de 8h à 17h.
Depuis la mi-janvier, madame Lise Anglehart a été nommée inspectrice municipale tandis que monsieur Albert Dorion est directeur des travaux publiques. Pour obtenir un permis de construction ou de rénovation, vous devez communiquer avec madame Anglehart au 418-396-5225 poste 29 ou vous rendre au bureau municipal situé à l'intérieur du bâtiment historique la Maison LeGrand de Port-Daniel.
